Know When to Suspect Lupus

When you hear hoofbeats you think horses, not zebras

Back in the 1940’s,  Dr. Theodore Woodword wisely instructed his University of Maryland students that “when you hear hoofbeats, think of horses, not zebras”.

LUPUS CAN BE BOTH.

It is important for non-rheumatology health providers to know when to suspect lupus and when to refer. Please share this short video with your non-rheumatology healthcare colleagues to help us spread the word about our lupus awareness and educational materials!
