Speaker: For everything about lupus, Look Up Us. Our case stories tell the story of lupus and make it real. They’re great for PBLs, POPS, or any small-group learning experience. The cases include facilitator guidance to highlight important learning points and color photos to help the cases come alive.

Lost in translation. A 38-year-old Mexican woman. Linguistic and cultural competence are key when language barriers make healthcare confusing.

A blizzard of symptoms. An 18-year-old Black woman. Our systemic disease presentation with multiple organ involvement can complicate diagnosis.

Young and uninsured. A 28-year-old Black man. Socio-economic challenges and lupus make the condition a measure of health disparities.

Pregnancy at risk. An 18-year-old white woman diagnosed with lupus at 14. How can this representative patient transition to adult care?

Or use our interactive case studies. Interactive case study users can complete independently on laptops or tablets. PIVOT leads you on a learning journey. As you take histories and perform physical exams, you seek eight key clues to solve each case. Here, you’ll find a computer interface that mimics electronic medical records, detailed images, and high-resolution video. New ways to think. With each clue, you can constantly readjust your differential diagnosis, lab results, instant feedback, the patient’s perspective, answers from lupus experts.

Offering realistic case scenarios where you can practice in a safe and simulated environment. Here’s PIVOT, improving diagnostic reasoning, expanding medical knowledge, and making learning come alive.

Its constitution and complexion are diverse. Our resources demonstrate how lupus targets women, and many people of color. To discover how, check health disparities.

The sociology of lupus is significant, so too is the science. With lupus comes increased risks for malignancy, for example, and cardiovascular disease. Find out with lupus through the lifespan. Clearly, lupus is complex. Causes of morbidity range from neuro-psychiatric to reno and more. Correct diagnosis is critical.
