Mr. Andrejeski holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management/Economics from Gannon University in Erie, Pennsylvania and an MBA from Pennsylvania State University and has successfully led the American College of Rheumatology as Executive Vice President since 1987.
Among other accomplishments, during his tenure at the ACR, Mr. Andrejeski negotiated agreements which increased journal revenue by 100%; increased attendance at the ACR’s Annual Scientific Meeting by over 50% in seven years; has been able to maintain annual growth despite the economic downturn; and developed a self-sustaining organizational and staff structure after separation from the Arthritis Foundation.
Prior to his work at the College, Mark Andrejeski worked with various branches of the American Heart Association over a period of 15 years and before his departure held the title of Executive Vice President of the Central Ohio Chapter. Notably, while with the American Heart Association, Mr. Andrejeski established a monthly series of seminars for local and regional physicians, developed an outreach network to educate over 13,000 people in CPR and/or Advanced Cardiac Life Support and co-chaired the first nationally recognized inter-agency Consortium convened to address control of high blood pressure.
Mr. Andrejeski maintains memberships in professional organization at both the local and national levels, including: Georgia Society of Association Executives (GSAE) and American Association of Medical Society Executives (AAMSE). These relationships afford Mr. Andrejeski, and by extension the Consortium members, access to professional peers whose advice and counsel prove invaluable in these endeavors.
